Empire Barber & Beauty Training Center is coming to New York’s Capital Region to train barbers with practical skills, disciplined techniques, and hands-on instruction. Our program meets New York State requirements and focuses on fundamentals, safety, steady skill development, and shop-ready professionalism.

Founded by Thomas Grisby—a combat veteran and master barber—our center grew from a one-chair shop in 2018 to a full-service day spa in five years. We offer a structured, supportive program that produces confident, employable barbers.

Instruction blends classroom lessons with practical training from experienced educators and guest instructors. Students learn haircut systems (fades, tapers, shear work), beard care, shaving basics, client experience, and professional habits like punctuality and communication.
